RATES OF PAY INCREASED

An increase of id an hour in the wages of tailers out in timber yard: and of yard labourers in both timbei and coal yards, has been awarded dj the Arbitration Court. The rates of other workers undei the North Canterbury Timber Yards’ Sawmills’ and Coal Yards’ Employees Award had already been increased by the same amount by agreement, but oth • quest ion had been referred to the Court.
