WIDE AREAS UNDER WATER United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph —Copyright SYDNEY. October 29. Serious floods occurred at Wagga, when the Murrumbidgee River broke its banks. Many homes were inundated, and the occupants are sheltering in cuttle stalls at the show ground. The water is so deep in some streets of the town that the police erected “road closed” signs. Thirty families at North Wagga were rescued by police boats. Several houses are entirely submerged. Narrandera is a deserted town, its population having taken to the higher ground for safety.
