The following list of steamers’ movements is compiled in accordance with advices supplied by agents for the different lines.

NOTES The Port Whangarei arrived from Dunedin on Saturday morning and loaded for Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei. She departed in the evening for Lyttelton. The Storm is due to reach TimarU from the south to-day. She will load for Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth, and proceed to Lyttelton. The Holmglen is expected to call here from the south to-morrow to lift Welington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato shipments. She should get away for Lyttelton that day. The Waimarino left Bluff for Dunedin on Saturday, and is due here tomorrow. She will take Picton, Wellington and Auckland cargo, and should sail the same evening for Lyttelton. Armadale From New York. The Armadale, from New York, arrived at Auckland late on Thursday night. She is also to call at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin before proceeding to Australia. Waikouaiti From Australia. The Union Company .advises that the Waikouaiti is expected to leave Hobart on October 31 for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. She is due at Timaru on November 8. Port Hunter For London. The C. and D. Line’s Port Hunter has left Wellington for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. Cargo From London. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Fairy was to leave London on October 24 for Suva, Dunedin and Lyttelton. Hauraki From Pacific Coast. After loading at Pacific coast ports the Union Company’s motor ship Hauraki is scheduled to leave Los Angeles on November 5 for Papeete, Nukualofa, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. She Is due at Auckland about November 27. lonic Leaves Cristobal. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner lonic is reported to have cleared Cristobal, en route from London and Southampton to Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on November 14. The Canadian Challenger. Reported to have cleared Cristobal on October 20, the Canadian Challenger is en route from Montreal to Auckland, Wellington and Australia. She is due at Auckland about November 20. London’s Shipping. During the week ended August 24, 1135 vessels, representing 942,092 net register tons, used the Port of London; 515 vessels (750,063 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 620 vessels (192,029 net register tons) were engaged In coastwise traffic. The arrivals included six meat cargoes, viz., one from Australia, one from New Zealand, two from South America, and two from North America, comprising 158,000 carcases of lamb and mutton, 100,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries.
