WEDDING
PARLANE—McGUIGAN A wedding of interest to a number of people in South Canterbury took place in Dunedin last week, when Miss Euphemia McGuigan was married to the Rev. James Parlane. Both parties are members of the pioneer families of the Tokomairiro district, Otago, and are well known as workers in the Presbyterian Church. The bride has earned for herself more than a local reputation as a capable Bible Class leader, while the bridegroom’s name is almost a household word throughout New Zealand.
The ceremony was performed in First Church by the Rev. Allan Stevely. The bride was given away by her brother. Mr Wm. McGuigan. of Temuka. and was attended by her sister Miss Martha McGuigan, while Mr Colin Jackson was best man. The party was honoured by the presence of Rev. Alexander Don, the veteran missionary.
Mr and Mrs Parlane have arranged to take up their residence in Milton.
