BREWERY DAMAGED
OUTBREAK OF FIRE By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, July 26. Damage estimated at £2OOO, apart from the destruction of a valuable collection of instruments and records in the laboratory, was done by fire and water at the brewery of the Dominion Breweries Ltd., near Otahuhu last evening. The fire broke out above the ceiling over the laboratory and malt store. Workmen began removing part of the stock of 1000 bushels of malt, but after 200 bushels had been moved, the zinc lining of the store melted and smoke and water penetrated, ruining the remainder of the malt and damaging the instruments and volumes containing the formulae in the laboratory. The building, plant and stock flare insured for £28,275 in the Southern Union
