ARMED ROBBERY
ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 26. Charged that being armed with a revolver he robbed Percival Romley Hart, of £6l, the property of the Post-master-General, and further, with the theft of £6l, the property of the Postmaster General, William Alexander Crossan, 35, a bootmaker, was found guilty on the first count by the jury at the conclusion of the trial in the Supreme Court to-day, and was remanded until to-morrow for sentence. The case arose from a robbery at the Adelaide Post Office, Newtown, Wellington, on June 8. A defence of an alibi was made, and Crossan addressed the jury at length from the dock.
