WOMEN’S DIVISION
cannington branch. Mrs W. Howell presided over a good attendance of members at the July meeting of the Cannington Women’s Division. Miss Lorrimer gave a talk on a visit she had made to South Africa. A demonstration of how to make sweets was given by Mrs Irwin, of Craigmore. The winners of the day’s competitions were:—Best sponge roll, Mrs James Little 1. Mrs James Little 2, Mrs W. Thomson- 3. Best article from an old felt hat, Mrs Atwell 1. Mrs J. Little 2, Mrs Thomson 3. Mrs R. Hill and Miss Lorrimer acted as judges. It was decided to have one entry from each member in future competitions. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs James Scott, Miss May Scott and Mrs Squire. Arrangements for the concert and dance to be held at Cave in August are well in hand, and members and visitors are assured of a splendid entertainment.
