THE WEATHER
Dominion Meteorologist. General situation —Pressure is still rather low at the Chatham Islands. An anti-cyclone covers most of Australia and the Tasman Sea, but a small cyclon'c depression is located off the New South Wales coast. Winds—West to south moderate to strong but decreasing gradually. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Moderate north of East Cape, elsewhere mainly rather rough to rough with considerable southerly swell. Eastern Tasman Sea—Light to moderate south-westerly winds, later becoming variable, seas moderate to rather rough, but decreasing. Weather—Some isolated coastal showers, chiefly in the far north and south, otherwise fine; temperatures cold and some hard frosts. Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind—Variable moderate to strong southerly ruling. Weather—Cold and changeable, Dut mainly fair. Conditions in Timara. Timaru again enjoyed perfect weather yesterday, the sun shining brightly throughout the day There was a light frost yesterday morning, and the indications last night were for a further frost this morning.
