6oz. Fether-Flake baked on a plate. 1 egg, 1 orange (grated rind and juice), 1 slightly heaped tablespoon cornflour, 2 tablespoons sugar, i pint water. Mix cornflour smooth with the orange juice, put all ingredients into saucepan excepting the egg. Bring to boil add yolk of egg. Pour into Fether-Flake case. Cover with meringue made with beaten white and 1 tablespoon sugar. Brown in cool oven. Fether-Flake is puff pastry of perfect quality ready to bake. A boon for the busy.
