DR. NORWOOD
DEPARTURE FOR CANADA TO-DAY By Telegrapb—Press Association AUCKLAND, June 25. The council chamber of the Town Hall and all its approaches were crowded, for the civic reception accorded to the noted visiting Congregationalist preacher. Dr. P. W. Norwood, of the City Temple, London. The Mayor (Mr G. W. Hutchison) presided, and members of the City Council in addition to representatives of most of the religious denominations and general public, were present. Dr. Norwood was entertained at lunch by the ministers and clergy of Auckland, and in the evening he spoke at the Beresford Street Congregational Church under the auspices of the London Missionary Society. He Is to leave by the Aorangi to-morrow for Canada, en route to England.
