AGED PRIEST’S TRAGIC END. Unite'’ Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright CALCUTTA, June 24. Declaring that his life’s work is finished, a 125-year-old head priest at a Hindu Temple, in the United Provinces, has been buried alive at his own request by pilgrims. He was at the temple more than half a century. The practice of self immolation is said to be customary when convinced that usefulness is ended.
