The most practical method of keeping reels together in a cretonne workstand is to thread them on a thin cord extended across it. Sew a small loop of cord on each side of the stand an inch below the wooden bars and two inches from ae hem; then make a loop at each end of a piece of cord which is a little longer than the distance between the first-mentioned loops. Thread the reels on the cord, leaving about two inches free, and safety-pin its loops to the other ones. The stand may be folded up, as before, when necessary.
