Dominion Meteorologist. General Situation.—jm anti-cyclone extends over the Tasqan Sea on to New Zealand, but a slijht depression is passing to the south. Winds (New Zeaand Waters).— Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea.—Moderate south-west winds and smooth to moderate seas. Weather.—For the nost part fair to fine, but a few isolated showers are likeiy on the West Cast and in the far north and south; cog night temperatures with many froas and some coastal fogs. Conditions it Timaru. Frosty nights and fine, sunny days prevailed in Timaru during the weekend. On Saturday Corning there were four degrees of frqt and yesterday morning 6.8 degreej were recorded at Timaru Park.
