SEQUEL TO ASSAULT ON YOUNG WOMAN. United Press Association —Bv Electric Telegraph - Cor vrignt MELBOURNE, June 23. A sentence of 10 strokes of the lash and 18 months’ imprisonment with hard labour, was imposed by Judge Woinarski, on Frederick Cusdin (23), married, on a charge of assaulting Miss Irene Panioty and causing bodily harm. Counsel for Cusdin called evidence to show that Cusdin, who was once a jockey, met with a serious head injury, when he fell while riding in the Great Northern Steeplechase in New Zealand.
