VIOLENT EXPLOSION
ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP SAFE. By Telegraph—Press Association CAMBRIDGE, May 30. In the early hours of this morning, the Cambridge Railway Station was broken into. An unsuccessful attempt was made to blow open the safe with gelignite. The thieves drilled two holes near the lock which withstood the charge. The explosion was heard a quarter of a mile away. Nothing was stolen, though there was £lO in cash and notes in the safe. No arrest has yet been made.
