“There has been some criticism because Lincoln College has not the very best farm in the diitrict," said Professor R. E. Alexander at a gathering at the Canterbury Agricultural College on Tuesday. “It is not a model farm and was never meant to be. The farm is an agricultural laboratory on which the students are taught. Take into account that the work is done by youths who are learning as they go along, and then it can be rated as good as anything in the district. The stock compares with any in the Dominion. If all the farmers and runholders would follow our example and get nothing but the best then the country’s production would increase."
