NEW ZEALAND UNION GRANTS TO SCHOOLS By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. May 23. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night made grants for school footballs as follows.—Waikato £3O, North Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, South Canterbury and Southland £25 each; Thames Valley, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Horowhenua, East Coast, Poverty Bay, Bush, Wairarapa, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson, Golden Bay, Buller, West Coast, Canterbury. Otago, King Country, Ashburton and North Otago £2O each. The following applications for reinstatement from Rugby League were granted:—W. Sturmey (Wanganui), R. Chisholm (West Coast). B. J. Kameroa, J. E. Powell. C. W. Thompson (Waikato), J. Allen, G. A. Sinden (Hawke’s Bay), R. Still (Wellington), M. Fitzgerald. M. G. Fitzgerald, J. Rutherford, H. G. Stenberg, W. J. Keymer (Auckland), J. Simpson (South Canterbury). E. Ripea, C. F. Eisenhut, S. C. Pansina, D. C. Maclean, H. Ballantine, V. Ritchie, R. C. Stanich, B. H. Stanich, T. W. Andrews, B. Paki, D. P. Omeara and T. Rosieur (North Auckland). The Waihi v. Temuka match on Saturday will be played at Temuka, not at Winchester as previously announced.
