June 5 Port Napier, Lyttelton June 15 Raranga, Lyttelton June 30 NOTES. The Union Company's coastal steamer Opihi was the only vessel to call at Timaru yesterday. She arrived about 6 o’clock last evening from Oamaru and, after picking up shipments for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, sailed for Lyttelton. The Waipiata is set down to arrive from Dunedin to-morrow to load for Wellington and Auckland. She should sail the same day for the north via Lyttelton and Picton. The Breeze is expected to load Wellington, Picton and Wanganui shipments at this port to-morrow. She is due from the south and should get away for Lyttelton the same evening. The Port Whangarei should arrive from Dunedin to-morrow. After loading for Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei she is to sail for Lyttelton. The Holmdale is scheduled to call at this port from Oamaru to-morrow to load Wellington, Picton and Wanganui cargo. She is due to sail the same day for Lyttelton. Poolta Delayed in South. The Union Company advise that the Poolta was delayed by rain at Bluff and was to leave there yesterday afternoon for Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. She is set cjown to arrive at Timaru to-morrow night. Kiwitea With Coal. The Kiwitea was scheduled to load coal at Westport yesterday for Wellington, Timaru. Oamaru and Lyttelton. She should reach Timaru from the north next Saturday to discharge part of her cargo before proceeding south. Cambridge for Timaru. The Federal Line vessel Cambridge arrived at Auckland on Saturday from Liverpool and began discharging cargo from West Coast ports. She is due at Wellington on Friday and is to proceed thence to Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is set down to reach | Timaru on June 1. Port Napier in Ballast. | Messrs D. C. Turnbull and Co. advise that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Napier, which left Shields in ballast on April 19 for New Zealand, is due at Port Chalmers on June 10 to begin loading for Home. She is expected to arrive at Timaru about June 14, but her subsequent ports are not yet known. Raranga Listed. Advice has been received by Dalgety and Co. that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga will arrive at Timaru from Port Chalmers on June 29 to load for Home. She will proceed hence to Lyttelton. Wellington, Napier and Auckland and is scheduled to clear the last named port finally on July 17 for London, via Panama. Waikouaiti’s Cargo. The Waikouaiti, which arrived at Dunedin on Saturday from Sydne via Bluff, carried transhipment cargo from the Shirala, Dimboola, Talune, Marella, Orsova, Orungal, Baradine, Strathaird, Mongolia, Nankin, Orama, Monte Plana, Changte, Yaye Maru, Temeraire, Remo, Mareeba, Koranui, Tamon Maru, Tanda, Ormonde. The Waikouaiti is due to reach Timaru tomorrow on her way to Lyttelton to complete discharge. She will proceed thence to Bluff, Sydney and Newcastle. Karetu’s Movements. The Union Company advises that the Karetu was to leave Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Welington and Auckland. She is due here on Monday next. She will then take general cargo in addition to the season’s requirements of “shooks” to the out islands, calling at Aitutaki, Mauke, Mangaia and Rarotonga.
