The Storm loaded yesterday for Wellington, Pic ton, Wanganui and New Plymouth, and sailed for Lyttelton. The Holmglen, which spent the week-end in port, took Wellington, Nelson, Wanganui and New Plymouth cargo yesterday, and was despatched for Lyttelton. The Opihi should be an arrival from Oamaru to-day, to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Waikouaiti is set down to arrive to-morrow from Dunedin, to discharge transhipment cargo from Australia. She should proceed that evening for Lyttelton. The Waipiata. on the Picton, Wellington and Auckland run, is expected to call at Timaru from the south tomorrow. She is to sail for Lyttelton that evening. The Narbada. The Union Company advise that the Narbada was expected to leave Lyttelton yesterday afternoon for Dunedin. She is due there to-day, and is to sail on the following day for Newcastle and the East. Avelona Star Coming. The Avelona Star is due at Port Chalmers about May 25 from Bluff, to continue Homeward loading. It is expected that she will be despatched about May 28 for Lyttelton. Mataroa’s Movements. The Mataroa, from London, is expected to arrive at Wellington on May 24, and will then proceed to Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, at which last port she is due on May 30. Personal. Captain B. B. Irwin, who has been on holidays, has taken over the Rangatira, relieving Captain W. D. Cameron, who is now on leave. Mr C. Burgess has rejoined the Narbada as chief, relieving Mr D. M. McLeish, who has transferred to the Wahine in a similar capacity vice Mr T. S. McNicol, who is standing by for orders. Mr B. F. Fisher has poined the Kini, as chief officer, relieving Mr H. Evington, who is going to Auckland for holidays. Mr M. A. Scott is now chief engineer of the Opihi, replacing Mr A. Lang. Mr A. R. Wells has been engaged as assistant purser on the Rangatira. Notices to Mariners. The Marine Department advises that a rocky shoal with a least depth of two and three-quarter fathoms M.L.W.S. has been located in Foveaux Strait in a position 070 deg one mile from Fairchild Rock, lat. 46deg 53.5 min S., long. 168 deg 43min E. (approximately). The shoal extends about 300 ft in a northsouth direction, and about 150 ft in an east-west direction, and has depths of ten fathoms close around. The conspicuous trees on Bushy Point, Foveaux Strait, have been chartered as follows:—Northern clump, lat. 46deg 36min S., long. 168 deg 33.4 min E.; southern clump, lat. 46deg 36 min S., long. 168 deg 33.5 min E. Toby Rock is reported to lie 340 deg about six cables from its charted position. The 15ft patch in a position 156 deg 118yds from No. 3 beacon. Bluff Harbour is to be expunged, and a depth of 23ft inserted. The Marine Department has discontinued the practice of republishing ordinary notices to mariners received from other countries. Notices received from the Admiralty, Australia, Tasmania, and Suva are available for inspection at the office of the Superin-
