GOLDEN WEDDING
A happy afternoon was spent on Tuesday iast at the residence of Mr and Mrs John Ward, North Street, when their family gathered to celebrate with them the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. The family of nine sons and daughters and about twenty grandchildren were present. After the health of Mr and Mrs Ward was toasted a beautifully decorated cake made by a granddaughter and iced by a friend was cut. A sheaf of congratulatory telegrams and messages was read. During . the day many friends called and tendered their congratulations.
