Dominion Meteorologist. General Situation. —Moderate westerly depression is moving off New Zealand, and an anti-cyclonc is approacning from the westward. The latter at present is centred over south-east Australia. Winds. South-westerly, moderate C orally, fresh at places in the far south and along the east coast. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Considerably southerly swell south of East Cape, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea. Moderate south-east winds and moderate seas. Weather—Mainly fair to cloudy, some scattered showers or misty rain likely, especially along the east coast and in the far north and south; cool temperatures. Conditions in Tirnaru. After windy and cold conditions for the greater part of the week, Saturday’s sunshine was much welcomed in Tirnaru. The morning again broke line yesterday, and bright sunshine was experienced for the major part of the day, with an overcast sky and colder temperature late in the afternoon.
