CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW.

The annual chrysanthemum show, held under the auspices of the Waimate Methodist Church was held on Saturday, and in spite of unfavourable season, a most attractive exhibition of blooms was staged. The arrangements were creditably carried out by » strong committee under the direction of the Rev. A. M. Costain (president) and Mr C. Coventry (secretary). The judges were:—Cut blooms, Mr A. White; decorative. Mrs W. E. Mills (St. Andrews); cookery, Mrs G. J. Shackleton; vegetables, Mrs A. S. Jones (Timaru). The awards were as follows: Specimen Blooms. Four Distinct Varieties—Mrs G.
