i When storing dry goods such as | herbs, cornflour, etc., in glass jars, stick the labels inside the jar; they will remain clean and cannot rub off. TO SOFTEN NEW SHOES. Tight new shoes may be made com- ! fortable by laying a cloth dipped in j hot water on the part where the shoe j pinches on the feet. Remove the cloth ! as it cools and repeat the process. In 1 this way the leather softens and shapes ' itself to the foot.
