INLAND AIR MAIL
FIRST SERVICE IN BRITAIN. British Official Wireless (Received May 18, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 17. The first inland air mail service in Britain will be inaugurated at the end of the present month between Inverness (Scotland) and Kirkland in the Orkney Islands. No extra charge will be made by the Post Office for the carriage of letters by air mail, and if the service proves successful, other inland mail services will follow.
