ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE
TWO MEN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, May 17. There was a sequel to-day to the robbery at Bowsers, Ltd., service station on the morning of May 10. when the night attendant, Herbert Quinlan, was wounded through being hit on the head with a batten. Herbert Woodham and Thomas Benjamin Raymond, two young men, were charged with robbing Quinlan of 24 packets of cigarettes, a pair of pliers, postage stamps valued at 2/6 and 6 - in silver, and with wounding Quinlan Both pleaded guilty and were committed to the Wanganui Supreme Court for sentence.
