‘TAKE A CHANCE

MAJESTIC’S PROGRAMME The bright musical comedy, “Take A Chance,” is to complete its Timaru season at the Majestic to-night. The picture has had a very popular run. “This Week of Grace” It is impossible to resist Grade Fields, for her warm-hearted personality makes itself felt with tremendous effect and endears her to any audience. She is without doubt the greatest English entertainer to-day, and in her latest picture, "This Week of Grace,” she is allowed full rein to her talents and is surrounded by a star cast. “This Week of Grace,” which is a Julius Hagen production, directed by Maurice Elvey, will open at the Majestic Theatre to-morrow. The actual story is of secondary importance. The point to be remembered is that “This Week of Grace” not only provides a great number of laughs, but radiates an atmosphere of good fellowship and infectious gaiety. It has been designed to give the star every opportunity to exploit her talent and her personality and the five songs which Gracie sings in her inimitable style are skilfully introduced. In spite of the fact that Gracie Fields is a host unto herself, she has the support of an unusually strong cast. Douglas Wakefield and Frank Pettigell are two comedians guaranteed to convulse any audience, while John Stuart and Henry Kendall provide the more serious and romantic side of the acting.
