RETRIAL REFUSED
CENTRE OF ROAD DEFINED. By x’eleg aph—Press Association HAMILTON, May 17. Holding that the centre of the bitumen was the centre of the road, his Honour Mr Justice Heidman, in a reserved judgment to-day, dismissed a motion for retrial in a case in which damages were awarded against a lorrydriver for negligent driving. The evidence showed that there was 39ft. of reasonable usable road, there being 28ft. of bitumen
