DAIRY COMMISSION
QUESTIONNAIRE FRAMED. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 17. The framing of a questionnaire for submission to the different classes of witnesses occupied the time of the members of the Dairy Industry Commission at their morning sitting today. In the afternoon they had a discussion with the Government Statistician (Mr J. W. Butcher), in connection with certain statistics relating to the dairy industry. Evidence was also heard from the general manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board (Mr John Fraser). The witnesses will be Mr F. G. Grainger and Mr T. Woodcock, of the staff of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board, to-morrow morning, and in the afternoon the Commission will hear representatives of the Overseas Shipowners’ Allotment Committee. The Commission will probably leave Wellington for Stratford about the second week in June and from there it will proceed to Hamilton and Auckland to hear further evidence.
