NIGHT CLUBS RAIDED
QUANTITY OF LIQUOR SEIZED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. January 15. Two well known night clubs were visited by parties of police in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Clubs were the Pharaoh Club, of Khandallah, and the Crows’ Nest, of Island Bay. The police took possession of a quantity of liquor at both establishments. When the police arrived at the Crows’ Nest, the cabaret orchestra struck up the tune “A Policeman’s Holiday,” followed by “The Prisoner’s Song.” When the police left the guests assembled on the balcony and sang “For They are Jolly Good Fellows.”
