THE HAT BAR
Shopping is becoming a hectic business in London now. The latest contribution to the rush is a “Hat Bar,” which has been opened in Piccadilly. Hats of all kinds, gloves, scarves and other odds and ends of dress are to be sold over a counter in exactly the same way as drinks and sandwiches are sold at real snack bars. The assistants are dressed like waitresses, and the customers have to sit on high stools before a chromium and glass counter.
