SLUM CLEARANCE
PRINCE’S SALE TO THE CITY. British Official Wireless RUGBY, December, 25. The Prince of Wales sold 141 acres of his Kennington estates, surrounding the Oval to the London County Council to aid the scheme for the slum clearance.
A County Council official described the Prince's action as a great gesture without which a rapid start in the clearance was impossible.
