THE WEATHER
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind—Moderate easterly to northerly ruling. Weather—Fair and warm. Dominion Meteorologist. General situation—The anti-cyclone over New Zealand has commenced to move eastwards, and a depression is now advancing across the Tasman Sea. Winds—North-easterly to northerly, light to moderate, but gradually increasing in force. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Smooth to moderate, but rising about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Eastern Tasman Sea—Moderate to strong northerly winds, moderate but rising seas. Weather—Still fair to fine and warm generally, but haze and cloud gradually increasing, rain setting in shortly in the western districts and the far north and south.
