STREAMS POLLUTED
DAIRY COMPANIES CONVICTED By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, December 12. A case of interest to dairy factories throughout the Dominion was concluded this morning, when Mr Justice Kennedy upheld the conviction against the Silverstream and Mosgiel Dairy Companies of having allowed to flow into a stream a liquid injurious to fish, namely, whey washings. His Honour held that nothing had been proved to exclude in respect of the waters in question the application of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and the appeals against the Magistrate’s conviction were dismissed.
