Material Evidence of Returning Confidence.—The Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society has approved the expenditure of about £IOO,OOO on a new building to be erected at the corner of Customhouse Quay and Willeston Street, Wellington. It is stated that New Zealand materials will be used to the fullest possible extent. The demolition of the present block will be commenced almost immediately.
