Representatives of the Southland Ski Club and the Southland branch of the New Zealand Alpine Club gathered at Invercargill on Friday evening to bid good-bye to Mr L. V Bryant, who will leave shortly for England and the Continent, where, during his year's leave of absence, he intends to indulge in lght-seeing and climbing Abundant evidence of Mr Bryant’s popularity as captain of the Ski Club and as a mountaineer was forthcoming from numerous r.peakera.
