ASSAULT CHARGE By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 8. A reserved decision was given by Mr E. Page, S.M., in the assault case against John Hugh Marshall, in connection w'ith the affair between Marshall and Robert Westley Bothamley, solicitor, chairman of the M&kara County Council. Mr Page said no doubt an assault was committed, and he imposed a fine of £5, which he increased at counsel s request to enable an appeal, security for which was fixed at the amount of the fine, £5 1/-, plus £lO 10/-.
