OTAGO V. SOUTHLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, December 8. The first interprovincial cricket match of the season commenced today at Logan Park when Otago met Southland. Southland scored 162 (Hallamore 48. Spence 36, McAra 21, Purdue 21). O'Shea took two wickets for 41 runs. McKelvey two for 63, and Badcock five for 44. Otago had compiled 344 for five wickets at the close of play (Badcock 82 not out, Uttley 67 Talbot 69, Cox 58. Constable 28 not out! Elms 26).
