ST. ANDREWS SALE GOOD STOKE MARKET. The fortnightly sale was held on Thursday, and average yardings of fat and store sheep came forward. Cattle were in short supply. The fat sheep sale for woolly wethers and ewes was back on the previous sale, but on the other hand store sheep were up, especially wethers. The various sales made were:— Forward heifer £3, 2 forward steers 2 year old £2/12/6, shorn fat ewes 15/10, 13/6, 17/1, 16/7, shorn fat wethers 16/6, 21/1, fat wethers in the w'ool 27/6, 24/6, fat ewes in the wool 17/-, 21/6, 21/21/-. Store Sheep.—Too tooth ewes 19/9, 20/3, two tooth wethers 16/4, 16 8 and 15/7, aged ewes and lambs 12/5, four tooth ewes and lambs (in wool) 17/-. NORTH CANTERBURY FREEZING COMPANY. By Telegrapn—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 8. The annual report of the North Canterbury Sheep Farmers’ Co-operative Freezing Export and Agency Coy. states that the drought of last summer caused an early rush of stock into the works, but the failure of the autumn feed resulted in a reduced turnover for the season. The improvement of prices on the London market towards the end of the year proved beneficial to producers taking advantage of the Company’s open door policy. The trading results for the year disclose a profit of £7855/19/-, from which the directors recommend that the sum of £3635/18/- be appropriated for depreciation, leaving £4220/1/- to be transferred to the appropriation account.
