CRICKET CONTEST ALBURY DEFEATED By 103 runs to 76 the Geraldine Thursday cricket team beat Albury on the Geraldine Oval on Thursday. Wallach and Hayes were the opening batsmen for Geraldine, but their wickets fell within a few minutes. Hayes’ total of 14 included three successive fours and a two. but he was bowled by Argus. A. Vincent made the stand of the day. his 47 runs including eight fours and three twos. He carried the score to 69. W. Angland. who was bowled by I. Simpson at 13 was the only other batsman to reach double figures. I. Simpson, who secured the splendid bowling average of five for 11, was responsible for the cheap dismissal of the remainder of the side. S. Argus, who scored 16. including three fours, and E.
