TRADE TREATY

JAPO-INDIAN AGREEMENT. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, November 6. A commercial treaty was reported to have been reached at Delhi to-day between the Indian Government and Japan, following a settlement of the differences over the quotas of Indian imports of cotton and textiles from Japan, and Japanese purchases of Indian raw cotton. The agreement will probably be made effective from November 10, and will be on a basis of the terms offered by India, namely, 410,000,000 yards piece goods imports, and 1,500,000 bales of raw cotton exports.
