Bert Lowe 11.31 ended In the twelfth round when Lowe collapsed as a result of a brain Injury, evidently suflered earlier In the contest. When down. Lowe tried to rise at the count of nine, the gong going simultaneously, but on being carried to his comer, he fell from his seat. As he was unable to continue the referee awarded the contest to Lister on a techr. »1 knock-out. Every round had been treauous and spectacular. It was c -in. hard boxing, and the points Wi re fairly even Lowe was the smarter boxer, but Lister was the more acgrcsslvr. Lowe was removed to hospital and underwent an operation. His condition Is reported to be serious but It la hoped that he may recover.
