It must be remembered that average 64's tops were selling at 305 d in July, compared with 21*d last February, and business was far greater at the higher level than when prices were low and buyers were nervous. The rates which can be secured for goods and the volume of sales which can be made in the retail establishments are the eventual decisive factors in the maintenance of the inquiry for the sheep's staple.
