Mr Aldrich, chairman of the Chase Bank, identified himself to-day at the Senate Investigation Committee, as the Individual who had sought to dissuade the Committee taveetlgstlng the Cuba loans, the reason given for this action being fear of the effects ta Cuba. To-day, however, Mr Aldrich demanded that the Committee should proceed. The Chase Cuban loans totalled 25,000,000d01.. for the construction of the capital ta Havana, and 200,000,000 for s central Cuban highway. Both are now ta technical default.
