GERALDINE

THE CROQUET CLUB OPENING DAY Ideal weather and lawns in perfect condition combined to make the official opening of the Geraldine Croquet Club yesterday afternoon a very pleasing function,' which was greatly enjoyed by members and visitors. Mr Lack assured the president and members that it gave him pleasure to accept the invitation to declare the season open. The members of the Bowling Club, on the adjoining green, took a very friendly interest in the Croquet Club’s affairs, and desired to congratulate the Club on the excellent state of the lawn, which reflected credit on the greenkeepers, Messrs Webb and Broad. The Croquet Club had an energetic band of ladies, who worked hard in the club's interests, and it was due to their efforts that it was so successful.
