TIMARU SHOW

LIST OF ENTRIES. The total entries for the Timaru Show, which is to be held on October 25 and 26. shows an improvement over last year, and the prospects are that the fixture will be one of the best held for some time. In the sheep section, the total is five in advance of last year, but the number of cattle coming forward will be smaller. There has been a revival of interest in draught horses, the entries this year being the best since 1929. Light horses are well up to the usual standard, and should again prove to be one of the features of the show. The farm produce entry is the best received for five years, while adult cookery has shown a big increase, the entries going up from 135 last year to 212 this year. Interest in children's classes has also been well maintained. In 1929 there were 201 entries, and at the forthcoming show the exhibits will number 267 The total this year is 1590. as against 1578 last year.
