CHALMERS CHURCH
CALL TO REV. E. L. WILLIAMS. A unanimous decision to extend a call to the Rev. E. Llywelyn Williams, 8.A., of 155th Street Presbyterian Church, New York, was made at a largely attended meeting of members and adherents of Chalmers Presbyterian Church held last evening. The interim moderator, the Rev. Adam Begg presided. The pulpit has been vacant since the departure for the Homeland of the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes, 8.A., and Mr Williams who was granted three months’ leave of absence from his own charge to come to New Zealand, has been supplying for the last four Sundays. At the next meeting *of Timaru Presbytery, the call will be presented by the Rev. Adam Begg and three commissioners— Messrs W. H. Walton, senr., W. Gibb and S. Taylor will support it on behalf of the congregation.
