At a largely attended meeting of the Westport branch of the Railway Superannuitants' Association the following resolution was unanimously passed: "Acting upon the advice of a prominent Dunedin barrister, the Railway Superannuitants' Society decides to create a fund to take its case to the Privy Council should such a course be necessary."
