NOTES.

The Totara, which arrived here on Saturday, loaded general cargo for Wellington and New Plymouth, and sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton. The Wingatui arrived last night from Oamaru. To-day the vessel is to load for Wellington and Auckland, and sail for Lyttelton. The Holmdale is set down to arrive to-day from Oamaru. Wellington, Picton and Wanganui are her loading ports. It is expected that the Storm will be here to-day from the south. Wellington, Picton and Wanganui cargo is to be taken by her. The Poolta, to load for Wellington, Gisborne and Napier, is due here tomorrow from the south. With a part cargo of coal for discharge at Timaru, the Ktni is timed to arrive to-morrow from Lyttelton. Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth cargo should be taken from Timaru on Friday by the Opihi, from Oamaru. The Holmglen. on the Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato run, is set down to arrive here on Thursday from Dunedin. It is expected that the Foxton will call at Timaru on Thursday from Lyttelton. She Is to pick up Wellington and Foxton i argo. The Gale is due here on Saturday from Dunedin. Wellington and Wanganui are her loading ports. Waikouaiti’s Transhipments. The Waikouaiti, to discharge and load Australian cargo at Timaru, is listed to arrive on October 22 from Dunedin. The vessel will have transhipments ex the following steamers for Timaru:—Tanda, Commissalre Ramel, Nieuw Holland, Maloga, Tamor Maru, Jeff Davis, Taiping, Otranto, Atsuta Maru. The Waimarlno Is expected to commence her southern run from Auckland on Friday. She is due at Timaru on October 30. Coptic To-Morrow. The Coptic is expected to be here tomorrow from Lyttelton, to discharge general cargo from the United Kingdom. Timaru is the last port of' discharge, and from here the vessel Is to proceed to Wellington on Thursday to bunker prior to departure for Australia, where she will load for the Homeland.
