TRANSPORT DRIVERS’ AWARD. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 24. The New Zealand Passenger Transport Award was filed in the Arbitration Ccurt to-day, embodying the recommendations of the Conciliation Council, which sat in Wellington on March 23. The award will operate for a year from July 3. The claim by ( re Union for an additional penny an hour for drivers employed in publicly- ned services was refused by a majority decision, the workers’ representative recording dissent.
