THRILLS TN AMATEUR TOURNAMENT. united Press Association— By Eleetno Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 22. The biggest thrill to-day in the British amateur golf tournament was Tolley's defeat of Fogg, a young Hoylake player, in the fifth round. The match was followed by a large gallery. Tolley seemed to be defeated when he was three down at the tenth. Fogg was later dormie 2 but threw the match away, missing a four-foot putt at the eighteenth, and hooking his drive at the nineteenth. Fifth Round. Tweddell defeated Wethered at the nineteenth hole. Dunlop defeated W. Hartley, five up and four to play. Somerville defeated Kyne, three up and two to play. Sixth Round. M. Scott defeated Tweddell, one up. Dunlop defeated Somerville, two up and one to play. Tolley defeated Giles, three up and one to play.
